Furniture store, Uppsala, Sweden

Mio is one of Sweden’s leading home furnishing chains. The stores are owned by the franchisees, but are run along the lines of shared concepts to inspire personal, stylish and exciting interior design solutions.

The store in Uppsala wanted to reflect the feel of the different facade structures even inside the store, so they were looking for a suspended ceiling which would harmonise with the facade design. The new and innovative PARAFON Step for Grids product line matched those requirements and was installed in the store entrance. PARAFON Step for Grids is an acoustic concept which allows the customer to choose the design and colour. A combination of different thicknesses and formats results in a dynamic and unique acoustic ceiling.

In this case, the architect has chosen panels measuring 600x600 mm in the colour NCS S 0502-Y. These have been fitted in an irregular pattern.
